Ann Shoemaker (January 10, 1891 – September 17, 1978) was an American actress, born in Brooklyn, New York, with a career spanning over five decades, in both stage and screen. Shoemaker’s notable Broadway performances include “Ah, Wilderness!” and “The Skin of Our Teeth.” Her film career began in the silent era, and she seamlessly transitioned to talkies, earning recognition for her roles in movies like “Alice Adams” (1935), “My Favorite Wife” (1940) & Sunrise at Campobello (1960) .
