He was the actor that grew on you; he didn’t fit the usual profile of an actor in Hindi cinema. He encapsulated the common man, from Jaipur, Raipur, Pune or Mumbai, with his simple yet profound acting.  Like I said, he grew on you; his characters always came alive with his unique dialogue delivery that came with some humor, some sarcasm, but all of Irrfan. I do miss his presence in films.

I understand you skipped Irrfans negative roles like in Aan Men At Work or Ghaat. Aan was not ao significant but in Ghaat (Manoj Bajpayee as lead) his villainous character was definitely an eye catcher.

Cinema was dealt an almightily H-U-G-E blow when Irrfan Khan succumbed to cancer. A phenomenally talented person, he was at ease doing comedy (Monty of Life in a Metro opposite Konkona Sen is a most memorable character essayed by Irrfan), as he was in intense works like MAQBOOL, PAN SINGH TOMAR, HAIDER and TALVAR. In fact, it was a major travesty that he was NOT given due recognition as Best Lead Actor for TALVAR at the National Film Awards. Saba Qamar and Irrfan were an absolute dream duo in Saket Choudhary’s HINDI MEDIUM. Unfortunately, ANGREZI MEDIUM directed by Homi Adajania, with Irrfan playing dad to Radhika Madan’s Tarika had a very brief cinema release in March 2020 as states went into shutdown mode owing to Covid, followed by the National level lockdown. Irrfan, battling his ailment, yet gave his all in the filming process. 
One cannot thank God enough for the PRICELESS GIFT TO THE ARTS THAT IRRFAN KHAN has been. Bears repeating that he has been a Collosus among performers, who got Tragically taken away all too soon.
