Raghav Juyal, a dancer, choreographer, actor, and television presenter known for his fuid moves and slow mo dance routine. He surprised with his menacing act and brutal action through his movie “Kill,” proving him to be one of the most promising new talents.
Early Life and Career
Raghav Juyal was born on July 10, 1991, in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, into the family of Deepak Juyal, an advocate, and homemaker Alka Bakshi Juyal. He hails from the Garhwali Brahmin community, with roots in the Khetu village. His younger brother, Yashasvi Juyal, pursues filmmaking, while his sister-in-law, Rachita Juyal, serves as an IPS officer. Raghav grew up in a middle-class setting, balancing studies with his early love for dance.
Raised in Dehradun, ttended Doon International School in Dehradun, where he participated in dance competitions. He later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from DAV (PG) College, Dehradun. Despite his academic pursuits, Raghav’s passion for dance remained at the forefront of his interest. His academic focus shifted as he prioritized dancing, practicing secretly to avoid parental disapproval.
Raghav Juyal’s first TV appearance came in 2011, when he participated in Chak Dhoom Dhoom 2 on Colors TV. He came into the limelight with his viral audition video for Dance India Dance Season 3, which showcased his self-taught dance skills and led to his becoming a finalist on the show. He finished as second runner-up but returned as a wildcard.
The Dancing Superstar

After his stint on Dance India Dance, Raghav continued to make his mark as a choreographer and mentor on “Dance India Dance Li’l Masters 2” and “Dance Ke Superkids,” where his team emerged victorious under his leadership.
Since then, he has been part of many dance shows, such as “Dance India Dance’s various seasons,” “several seasons of Dance Plus,” “Nach Baliye 7,” “Super Dancer,” “Dance Champions,” “Dil Hai Hindustani 2,” “India’s Best Dancer,” “Dance Deewane,” and many more.
Raghav made his acting debut in Charudutt Acharya’s “Sonali Cable” in 2014. He later starred in the dance-based film “ABCD 2” in 2015, which was well-received by audiences and critics alike. He also acts in films like “Nawabzaade (2018),” “Street Dancer 3D (2020),” “Bahut Hua Samman (2020),” and “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023).”

Kill, released on July 5, 2024, is an action thriller directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga Kapoor. Juyal plays Fani, a sadistic gang leader clashing with army commando Amrit (Lakshya) on a train. The plot follows Amrit’s mission to save his fiancée Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) amid brutal fights. Juyal collaborated with Korean action director Se-Yeong Oh, known for War of Arrows, to craft intense sequences.


Raghav who other wise known for his sweet, guy next door personality and charming antics mesmerised audience with his brutal act. Critics praised his transformation, noting his psychological immersion into the character. His menacing performance won him the 2025 IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.
He again portrayed a intense character in Farhan Akhtar‘s Yudhra (2024) directed by Ravi Udyawar. In the film he played Shafiq ruthless son of a crime boss.
