Early Life and Career
Anupama Verma was born on July 2, 1981, in New Delhi, India. Anupama’s journey into the limelight began quite early, when she was discovered by a celebrity photographer while still in school. The encounter led to her first modelling assignment with Digjam, marking the onset of a promising career.
Soon she became the top model and went on to do many music videos like “Boom Boom,” “Re Deewani Main Deewani,” “Tere Bin Jeena Nahin,” “Ek Kudi Lara Lappa,” “Bheegi Bheegi Raato Mein,” and many more. Apart from her modelling, Anupama Verma was also a VJ on Channel V, where her charismatic presence and engaging style won her many admirers.
Her striking features and poise soon caught the attention of the film industry, leading to her appearing in Shashilal Nair’s 2001 film “Grahan” with Jacky Shroff and Manisha Koirala. It was dubbed a big break for her, but the film got delayed due to many reasons and eventually flopped on release.

In 2002 she acted in Mahesh Manjrekar’s “Pitaah,” alongside Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das and Om Puri. She went on to do a few more films like “Vadh (2002),” “Kya Yahi Pyar Hai (2002),” “Footpath (2003),” “Chameli (2003),” “Asambhav (2004),” Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav (2005),” “Mr Ya Miss,” and “Woodstock Villa (2008).”
In 2006, she participated in the first season of the Indian version of the reality show “Bigg Boss.” She had a publicized relationship with Aryan Vaid during Bigg Boss, which dissolved after the show.
