Ranjeeta Kaur was born on September 22, 1956. She embarked on her cinematic journey with the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), where she honed her acting skills before stepping into the limelight.
Her debut film, “Laila Majnu” (1976), opposite Rishi Kapoor, catapulted her to fame, showcasing her ability to breathe life into her characters. She then made a comeback to films with “Anjaane: The Unknown” (2005) and later starred in “Zindagi Tere Naam” (2012), reuniting her with Mithun Chakraborty. Her last film appearance to date was in “Jaana Pehchana” (2011), a sequel to “Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se,” which once again showcased her enduring charm and talent.


Personal Life
Beyond the silver screen, Ranjeeta’s personal life saw her married to Raj Masand, with whom she has a son named Sky. The family’s journey took them from the United States, where they owned a series of 7-Eleven stores, back to India, settling in Koregaon Park, Pune.
In 2019, she came in the news when her husband accused her and his son of physical abuse; he later withdrawn the complaint and said that he was angry after an argument between family members. Ranjeeta also said in a statement to the media, “Every family has some dispute—it was the same with us. My husband has a business in the United States of America, and my son also works in the same business. It was this dispute over business that crossed its limits and my husband thought of seeking help from the police.”
She further added, “As an actress, I have always stayed away from the media, but I never thought my family dispute would be out in the open this way. I never imagined that my family would be involved in something like this. But we would like to tell everyone that we are a happy family and my husband still loves my son like any other father.”
