As the father of Bollywood’s megastar Salman Khan, along with Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and film producer Alvira Khan Agnihotri, he has shaped the industry’s legacy. is first marriage was to Salma Khan (born Sushila Charak), on 18 November 1964. In 1981, Khan married famous actress Helen Richardson, whose father was Anglo-Indian and mother was Burmese.

Salim Khan’s contributions earned him six Filmfare Awards as part of Salim–Javed, and in 2014, he was honored with the Padma Shri.
