Legendary screenwriter Salim Khan is facing serious health issues and is currently admitted to the ICU of Lilavati Hospital. Khan experienced a minor brain hemorrhage on February 17, 2026, due to high blood pressure. Doctors performed a digital subtraction angiography procedure. He remains stable in the ICU, on ventilator support as a precaution. Recovery progresses; doctors plan to remove the ventilator soon.
Dr. Jalil Parkar, with a team of specialists, including neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia, is looking after him.
Dr. Parker clarified the rumors about any major surgery and said, “There was no surgery performed. It was a procedure that we usually do. Yes, he had a brain hemorrhage, which was very minimal and did not require any surgical intervention. There was no need for any surgery.”
