Om Prakash Chibber, popularly known as Om Prakash (19 December 1919 – 21 February 1998), was one of the greatest actors who graced the silver screen. Om Prakash started his career from All India Radio in 1937 on a monthly salary of Rs 25. He was spotted by filmmaker Dalsukh Pancholi, who gave Om Prakash his first break as an actor in the film Daasi (1944).
Om Prakash was perhaps India’s most beloved character actor. playing variety of role with his characteristic smile and dialogue delivery, His mere presence can put smile on viewers face.

Om Prakash directed Duniya Gol Hai (1955) with Karan Divan and Anita Guha. He also wrote and directed Raj Kapoor, Nutan starrer Kanhiya(1959).
He produced Bharat Bhushan, Prithviraj Kapoor, and Mala Sinha, starring “Jahanaara(1964),” He also produced Pradeep kumar’s “Sanjog (1961).”
